By using Tip & Topcoat you accept these terms. If you do not, please do not use the site. We may update these terms; the date at the top records when they last changed.

What the content is

Tip & Topcoat publishes buyer's guides and how-to content about nail products. It is editorial opinion and research, published in good faith, and it is offered for general information.

We do not test the products we write about, and the site says so on every page that carries a score. Our method is published in full. Product specifications are taken from manufacturers' and retailers' published information and attributed to them. Wear times and performance claims are the brands' claims, not ours.

Scores are editorial judgments applied to published specifications. They are not measurements.

Nothing on this site is medical advice. Where Tip & Topcoat discusses nail damage, UV exposure, adhesive reactions or nail conditions, it summarizes and links publicly available guidance from dermatology organizations and published research. It is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.

If you have a nail or skin concern — including changes in color or shape, swelling, pain, separation of the nail from the nail bed, or a suspected infection or allergic reaction — consult a qualified healthcare professional. Do not delay seeking advice because of something you read here.
