What each system asks of you
OPI asks for three coats and twenty minutes of care. In exchange you get published dry times, a genuinely glossy finish and an unconditional eleven-day claim. The base and top coats are also good standalone products.
essie asks for two coats and a sixty-second maintenance step on day seven. That is less work upfront and one thing to remember later. If you will actually do the day-7 step, it is the longest wear here.
Sally Hansen asks for two color coats with a five-minute wait between them — which is specified on the brand's own page and is not optional. Skipping the wait is the usual reason it chips early. In exchange it is the cheapest and you can buy it at a supermarket at midnight.
